Capulin Volcano State Park
For many years Colorado has been a common destination for my family. We always drove and always drove by Capulin State Park. Being fascinated with science like I am, my curiosity would linger on that volcano. I asked Andrew if we could stop there on the way back to Amarillo and he was all for it. The state park is really interesting. The drive up the volcano gets one all excited to see what awaits them. Once at the top absolutely stunning views of the surrounding land lay before you. There is a walk around the rim of the volcano and a walk down to the center of the caldera.
