Welcome to the 2008 Storm Season!

The 2008 storm season had a very slow start. The Houston area did not receive much rain, which was unusual. On top of that we didn't get much in the way of storms with the rain that we did get. Finally June rolled around and my sister, and fellow storm chaser, was going to go with me to chase in Oklahoma. Tragedy struck when while out of town our air conditioner and refridgarater went out at the same time...leaving us no option but to skip our chasing trip. 

Just when I had given up hope for storms we had a week where we received not one, but three photographic storms. I nabbed my first lightning of the season along with a shot I've had planned for years. :) And the season is not over yet.....
