June 18, 2008- Severe Storm hits Sugarland, Texas

I was at supper with some friends and was about to go hang out at Starbucks. A flash of light quickly changed my mind. My friends knew what the lightning bolt meant and told me to have fun and be careful. I went to Oyster Creek park and saw an awesome lightning show. Day lightning is such a difficult thing to grab. I managed a quick reflex shot and grabbed one, my first lightning of the season. :)

As I was leaving the neighborhood the suns rays cut through the trees giving an ethereal sight, then close to First Colony Mall I snapped a rainbow. As I was coming off of Austin Parkway onto Hwy 6 the rain became extreme mixed with nickel sized hail. Since I couldn't see to drive safely I pulled off on the side of the road until it let up. This was a fun small storm chase. :)
